When the price of gasoline started skyrocketing, I laughingly asked my daughter if she would be embarassed to see her mother riding to work on a scooter. Well, I see they are catching on in the cities. The question is, will they ever be popular in small town Arkansas? I would love to get one but with the number of accidents we have here, I would fear for my life. Especially out on Hwy 425. But if we all get one, there would be fewer big vehicles on the road and safety would increase. So who is with me?
We Americans are so spoiled to our luxury cars that scooters may never be the norm but it would sure be a good thing for the environment and might just force gas prices down. Everyone seems to want the government to take care of all our problems. I still believe in the free enterprise system in which supply and demand controls the prices. If we want prices to decrease we need to conserve energy and a lower demand would make lower prices.

So, I vote for scooters!

The scooter for you, a motorized wheel chair for me. I'd direct traffic at the intersection beside our house. You could get the east end. Royce saw some WWI planes fly over recently. I believe they're called Sopwith Camels. Kristy would be so proud of how we're making this world safe for democracy. Goody for us. Mom
