Monday Opening

Tomorrow is the day a lot of us have been working very hard to bring about. Grannie's Attic opens in her new location next door to Save-a-Lot. My booth is all set up and so are several others. There is a wide variety of merchandise so everybody should be able to find something they would like. Please go by and look around even if you are just window shopping. The owner is a very special, friendly lady and will welcome your visit.

Before I left today, I made some pictures. You may wear out before you see them all but here is a preview of what you can see:

Moving This Weekend

We are fast getting ready for moving into Grannie's Attic's new location. Monday the 28th will be the first day. Everyone is welcome to come by and check us out. We will be beside Save-a-Lot. I am excited because the store is bigger and the parking will be better. I now have three booths and could fill up a couple more. The only thing that I need is more shelving but I can add more later. This week my stuff is 20 percent off, a moving sale.

Monday is Coming!

A Few Weekend Finds

Here are just a few things that will be showing up in my flea market booths.

This Little Ruggy Stays Home

This one is not going to the store!

I Bought Gas Today . . . Maybe I Will Try This

Moving On Up

The flea market business is going strong! Lois and I have bought a trailer to make the auctions, yard sales, etc. Our first outing with it only yielded one item.....a rocker like I have been wanting for my front porch. I was so excited and it sits so good. Late every afternoon will find me sitting and rocking just like the grandma I seem to be becoming. I just need a corncob pipe and I could pass for Mammy Yokum.

Last night we made a better haul. We barely got it all on the trailer. Ya'll be sure to come on over the first of August to Grannie's Attics' new location. We are moving next door to Save a Lot grocery on Hyatt St. Between us we will have five booths. After we get all set up, I'll try to post some more pictures.

I Think This is Me

This Geech cartoon I borrowed from a cousin's email along with her email subject line.

Memories

I got this from Jenny's blog. I thought it would be fun! I hope you will play along. Here are the directions:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses.
If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

4th of July Auction

My 4th of July daytime was spent just relaxing at home which I badly needed. Then for my nighttime entertainment, I attended an auction with L. We went in my PT Cruiser with the back seats folded down. When we loaded the car there was not an inch of room left anywhere. L was holding stuff in her lap and had the floorboard under her feet full. We had a metal rack laying (lying?) on the console and poking us in the ribs. When we started to pay out and leave the auctioneer said, "Don't leave yet girls, we've still got some good stuff." So we laughed and stayed a bit longer and bought a bed and batmobile which we will have to pick up next trip. We had a blast thinking Fred Sanford had nothing on us. I'll try to post pics when I get the stuff cleaned up.

Then as we were heading home we saw some beautiful fireworks over the park. I am overwhelmingly thankful to live in America! May God continue to bless us.

Fashion

Hey, ya'll, (if there is really anybody besides my mom and daughter reading this). And Mel! And I think K.T. too.

Anyway, while I'm getting ready to go somewhere just now I was reminded of my latest shopping spree. But first I have to back up and begin at the beginning.

There are many, many interesting little friend surveys which come in the email or MySpace. You know the ones where you answer questions about yourself and reveal all sorts of intriguing morsels about yourself. Such as: Do you sleep on your back, stomach or side? What is your favorite drink? Where is the wildest place you have had sex? Have you ever been to Mexico? Now I fill out a good many of these, cause how else are we to get to know each other?

Well, back to the shopping spree. One of the questions which shows up regularly is, "how many hoodies do you own?" Let me tell you, I now own five! For your viewing pleasure and so that you will come to know me better I have included pictures of them. Please bear in mind that I realize that they may be on the way "out" now that I have finally purchased them but they sure are comfortable and one of them at least will brighten up my day whenever I wear it.
